A year ago, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a training company that I particularly like, TalenCo. Together, we took on an exciting challenge posed by one of our clients: how to create action training on continuous improvement that really makes teams want to change their professional practices?
The client had expressed his frustration to us: all the training courses offered by the firms were very tool-oriented, particularly in the field of lean, but the expected results were not there. The trainees evaluated the training courses positively, but nothing changed in practice. Traditional methods were not enough to drive real transformation.
With two consultants and another educational engineer, we decided to dig deeper into the subject and find a new approach. This is how we developed our "secret sauce", inspired by what I also use at In Media Vita: game-based training. We designed modules where participants are invited to play, experiment and become aware of their mistakes in a risk-free environment. This playful and immersive approach promotes awareness and deep learning.
What surprised us was the time needed to get out of one's usual frame of reference. Participants need permission and encouragement to dare to be themselves and experiment with new ways of doing things together. This approach requires a real open-mindedness and a willingness to question oneself.
Over the course of the sessions, we have seen remarkable transformations. Teams have begun to adopt new practices, collaborate more effectively, and fully engage in the process of continuous improvement. Action training has become a collective adventure, where each participant finds their place and actively contributes to the common success.
This experience with TalenCo has once again confirmed to me the importance of innovation in learning methods. By thinking outside the box and proposing creative and engaging approaches, we are able to generate the enthusiasm and commitment needed to make real changes. Working with TalenCo has been a source of inspiration and satisfaction, reinforcing my belief that learning should be a lively, dynamic and joyful experience.
By rethinking our methods and placing people at the heart of the process, we are paving the way for lasting and significant transformations. This adventure with TalenCo is a great example of what an innovative and collaborative approach to training can accomplish.
